Here's Bolingey Wood, beside the road, between Bolingey and a little river running towards Perranporth. It's a very old wood, with lots of lichen-covered willow trees, and scrub and brambles. The willow is no longer used to make wicker baskets, but the wood is safe. The ground is boggy, so it is not suitable for building. There's the remains of something else by the road near the wood, i.e. orchards and cider production. There are lots of apples on the road; there is nobody to make the cider. Alas!
