It’s
Thursday, the 18th January. Why is the day named “de Yow” in Cornish?
It’s called after “Jove”, the Roman god of the sky. In English the day is called after a Norse god: “Thor”
is the god of thunder.

I am not
happy today. The weather is not lovely, and I am not well (I do not have my
health). I have a sore throat. I would like to go out but I can’t. My husband had
to walk with the dog himself.
Nag eus ewl

I have no
appetite today. I prepared some vegetable soup but I don’t want to eat it.
Perhaps I will eat ice cream instead.
