There is sweet music in the hedges. I can hear a robin singing, though I can't see it. There is ivy all around and a different note comes from that. It is buzzing and humming. The air is full of humming. There's a bee with a white tail. There are many kinds of bees and wasps intent on collecting nectar and pollen. There's a fly like a green jewel. Most butterflies are too fast or too far away.

He's a bit flea-bitten and he can't stop scratching. His skin itches. The dog is not lucky. The vet prescribed medication for the dog - two types of pills. A poison pill for the fleas - one a month, and treatment for the inflammation - one a day for ten days. The cost? More than £90. I am not lucky!

The hawthorns in the hedge are completely overgrown by ivy. There are many green leaves and flowers mixed with red berries. Is the load too heavy for that tree? Will a tree fall in a strong wind? There's much food, many red berries, for the birds now. They don't need to come to the garden for crumbs or seeds. There are holly bushes everywhere. Later there will be black ivy berries for the birds. There are other plants too; brambles, honeysuckle, roses...
