Saturday, 3rd March. The snow round our house is gone. Rain came and washed the snow away. In its place we have a little flood, though there was a bit of sunshine in the afternoon. The mud is back! Tonight I can see the moon, though it is rather misty.

I am not a fine poetess and my verses are not refined poetry. I would prefer to write songs, but I don't know how to compose the music. I am not a composer. It's hard to get rhymes for some words. Can I remember rhymes? I can't remember exactly. But "amusing" is a rhyme for "exactly" (more or less). "Moth" is another rhyme, but how can I use it? The picture is a peppered moth.
