Scarlet poppies are the flowers used to commemorate all the men and the women killed in wars. Yesterday was Remembrance Sunday. Red poppies were worn by everyone and wreaths made of poppies were laid on war memorials. There is a war memorial in every parish, with a list of local soldiers. In Perranzabuloe churchyard there are several individual tombstones as well. Sometimes there are installations made of many poppies. This one - a scarlet cascade and river of poppies - was in London.

I am not a fine poetess and my verses are not refined poetry. I would prefer to write songs, but I don't know how to compose the music. I am not a composer. It's hard to get rhymes for some words. Can I remember rhymes? I can't remember exactly. But "amusing" is a rhyme for "exactly" (more or less). "Moth" is another rhyme, but how can I use it? The picture is a peppered moth.
