Today, I don't want to think about the news. I won't write about the royal family or funerals or the climate crisis or the cost of living crisis. The season is autumn and, therefore, the world is full of fruit and nuts! Except some of the fruits are mouldy and the nuts are very small. There are grey berries in the hedges as well as blackberries. There are lots of acorns - but we can't eat them. There is no "meat" in the beech mast, chestnuts or hazel nuts.
