Wednesday, 18th April. I woke early in the morning and had a small breakfast. Then I went up the garden. After feeding the rabbits I picked some camellias for my niece. The air was full of midges and birdsong. Then it was time to go to the railway station.

I am not a fine poetess and my verses are not refined poetry. I would prefer to write songs, but I don't know how to compose the music. I am not a composer. It's hard to get rhymes for some words. Can I remember rhymes? I can't remember exactly. But "amusing" is a rhyme for "exactly" (more or less). "Moth" is another rhyme, but how can I use it? The picture is a peppered moth.
