Friday, 27th April. A wet morning – I didn’t walk far with the dog. The dog wouldn’t walk far. It was a good time to put my books in order and file papers. It was a suitable day, as well, to look for my summer clothes (though I am still dressed in warm winter clothes).

I am not a fine poetess and my verses are not refined poetry. I would prefer to write songs, but I don't know how to compose the music. I am not a composer. It's hard to get rhymes for some words. Can I remember rhymes? I can't remember exactly. But "amusing" is a rhyme for "exactly" (more or less). "Moth" is another rhyme, but how can I use it? The picture is a peppered moth.
