The dog destroyed all its rubber balls. Now it has a new plaything. It's made of three rope balls. Already, the dog's teeth have bitten the loose rope. Throw the thing! The dogs wants to race to retrieve anything. It drops the thing - among dead leaves under a maple or on a mole-hill. Again! Again!

Can I write a story without using the verb "to be"? No. But perhaps I could write a story with the verb "to be" in every sentence. I would like to try. The story will be very simple!
