This morning the air was full of noise of chain saws cutting some branches from tall trees near the power lines. Then the men were gone and there was peacefulness again. I could listen to the birds and look at my flowers. Unfortunately, I do not have any cowslips. Most of the primroses are gone but there are still plenty of blue bluebells. And what bliss! Other cuckoo flowers have arrived, pretty white flowers among the grass blades and plantains. They are called milkmaids in English.
