Who'd like to go to the beach? Let's get ice cream first! There's a very good dairy in Perran. They make the best ice cream. We could park by the door. They have a lot of good flavours; there's not a bad taste among them. What flavour do you like? My husband likes strawberry, in a cone. Children have to have ice cream in a small tub - that is less messy! I am happy with a rum and raisin ice cream cone. It's very tasty.

Den po maw gwiskys en lavrek o moy saw avel benyn pow mos gwiskys en pilen. Today I watched Lynn Mayers talking about bal-maidens. It was a very interesting lecture, from Kresen Kernow (Cornwall Centre). There were many bal-maidens in my parish (in a red area of the map). There is still the remains of a mine nearby. The work could be dangerous. Sometimes a girl's clothes were caught in machinery. Long skirts were not safe. A man or boy dressed in a pair of trousers was safer than a woman or girl dressed in a skirt.
